Effective for: Dr O’Callaghan Dental Care Competition (Closing 10 October 2025)
This document serves as an extension to the existing Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy of Dr O’Callaghan Dental Care (the “Practice”), available at https://drhenryocal.co.za. It applies only to participants of the current competition (“the Competition”). By participating, you acknowledge and accept these additional terms alongside our main Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility & Entries
1.1. The Competition is open to all individuals unless otherwise restricted by law.
1.2. Entries must be submitted before 10 October 2025. No late entries will be accepted.
1.3. The winner will be announced on 13 October 2025 on the official Dr O’Callaghan Dental Care website.
2. Prize Conditions
2.1. The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or any alternative.
2.2. The prize must be used/redeemed within 5 months of notification.
2.3. In the case of dental checkup prizes, these are redeemable only by the named participant and cannot be transferred to another person (including parents or guardians).
3. Underage Participants
3.1. If the participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent.
3.2. The parent or guardian consents to:
- The child’s name and artwork being published on drhenryocal.co.za for a minimum of 10 business days.
- The prize (if won) being applicable only to the child, not the parent or guardian.
4. Marketing Use of Artwork
4.1. By submitting artwork, participants (or their parent/guardian if under 18) grant Dr O’Callaghan Dental Care a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, display, adapt, and distribute the artwork for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.
4.2. This includes but is not limited to use on:
- The practice website,
- Social media channels,
- Printed or digital advertising material.
4.3. Such use may result in monetary or commercial gain for the Practice. Participants acknowledge and agree that:
- No compensation, reference, acknowledgment, or notice will be provided for such use, and
- Rights to the artwork remain with the participant, but the Practice has the right to use it as outlined above.
5. Communications & Newsletter Subscription
5.1. By entering, participants consent to receiving communications about the Competition.
5.2. Participants also consent to being subscribed to Dr O’Callaghan Dental Care’s newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link provided in each communication.
6. Privacy & Data
6.1. Personal information (such as names, ages, and contact details) collected during the Competition will be used for:
- Managing entries and judging,
- Announcing the winner,
- Marketing communications (where consented).
6.2. All processing of personal information complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). See our full Privacy Policy for details.
7. General
7.1. The Practice reserves the right to amend or cancel the Competition at its discretion.
7.2. Any disputes will be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
